NZX Index Changes

3 November 2004 – Prime Infrastructure has announced that it has received acceptances for 94.6% of the issued share capital of Powerco, and will proceed to compulsory acquisition of all shares.

As a result, New Zealand Exchange Limited (NZX) has announced the following changes to its equity indices. These changes will be effective after the close on Tuesday 9 November.

NZSX 50 & NZSX 50 Portfolio Indices
Powerco Limited (PWC) will be removed from the indices and be replaced by Mainfreight Limited (MFT).

NZSX Mid Cap Index
Powerco Limited (PWC) will be removed from the index and be replaced by Mainfreight Limited (MFT).

NZSX SCI Index
Mainfreight Limited (MFT) will be removed from the index.

NZSX All Index
Powerco Limited (PWC) will be removed from the index.
