NZX as underwriter for Bond Exchange of South Africa Ltd (BESA) capital raising
NZX has entered into a contract as an underwriter in the capital raising for the Bond Exchange of South Africa Limited (BESA). BESA is raising R80 million ($NZD15 million) through a fully underwritten rights issue to new and existing shareholders.

NZX has today released the NZX Operating Metrics for July 2008. NZX releases the Operating Metrics on the first Tuesday of every month.
NZDX Market strong and new NZX Advising Firm accredited in July
NZX has today released its operating metrics for July, showing another strong month of capital raising and trading on the NZDX Market.
ASX Overseas and Dual Listed securities - Revised Pricing Structure on three-month trial
NZX has today commenced a three-month trial pricing structure change for trades on NZX in ASX Overseas and Dual Listed securities.
In the trial pricing structure only one side of a trade in any ASX Overseas and Dual Listed security will be charged. In this structure, passive executions will be paid a 0.05 basis points rebate per trade. Charges for aggressive executions are unchanged.
The pricing structure trial period will end on 31 October, at which time NZX will evaluate its effectiveness in encouraging more New Zealand-based trades.
Strong first half in 2008 for NZX - NPAT up 18%
NZX Group has released a strong half year 2008 financial result showing NPAT up 18%. While market conditions have been difficult for the first half of 2008, this result demonstrates the underlying strength and diversity of the NZX's businesses.
