Market Announcements

When a company lists with NZX, one of the main obligations and commitments it undertakes is to announce to the market any information that is relevant for investors when deciding whether to buy or sell securities.

As part of the NZX Listing Rules and the Securities Markets Act 1988, companies are required by law to disclose information in a timely manner that is relevant to the marketplace.

NZX disseminates these market announcements through its Public Broadcast system. The system is fully electronic, and companies and investors have access to the market announcement system on the internet. Once a company issues an announcement, NZX publishes the information to the market via the Market Announcement Platform. This results in the information being published to NZX's website (with a 20-minute delay) and FASTER trader workstations. This information is usually disseminated within 15 minutes of it being received from companies.

If the company is a member of any other exchange, NZX endeavours to advise the other exchange of announcement simultaneously, to ensure full market disclosure for all investors.

Subscriptions to the NZX Public Broadcast System are available to the public and members of the media. For more information on subscribing to the NZX Market Announcement Service please contact data@nzx.com.
