Diligent Board Member Services, Inc Proudly Announces it Signs Burger King—Have it Your Way
NEW YORK, NY (31 October 2008): Diligent Board Member Services, Inc. (Diligent) said today that it had signed a Boardbooks agreement with the parent of the international fast food operator—Burger King Corporation(TM).
The BURGER KING(TM) system operates more than 11,500 restaurants in all 50 states and in 71 countries and U.S. territories worldwide. Approximately 90 percent of BURGER KING(TM) restaurants are owned and operated by independent franchisees, many of them family-owned operations that have been in business for decades. In 2008, Fortune magazine ranked Burger King Corp. among America’s 1,000 largest corporations.
Diligent’s President and CEO Alex Sodi said that he was thrilled with the signing of yet another prestigious company to its web-based Diligent Boardbooks service.
“Burger King is a global brand and its decision to use our Boardbooks technology is yet another example of the strength and quality of our product,” he said.
“This is also a great sign that even during this global economic turmoil new companies are still pursuing board portals. Companies are attracted to the significant cost savings and overall efficiencies that can be gained in assembling and distributing board materials as well as the ease and security of use for actual board members. This can cut the cost for a corporate secretary’s office by more than 50 percent.”
