65MW (Gross) Sengkang Expansion Successfully Achieves Commercial Operation
The Directors of EWC are pleased to announce the 65MW (gross) expansion of the Sengkang Power Plant commenced full commercial operation at 00:00 hours on 17 November 2008. Photographs of the completed unit are attached to this announcement.
The commercial operation date achieved is five and a half months ahead of the contractual schedule established with PLN.
The Directors are also pleased to announce that on the 18 November 2008, EWC formally commenced discussions with PLN to further expand the Sengkang Power Plant from 195MW to 315MW by adding an additional 65MW (gross) gas turbine and heat recovery steam generator.
These discussions are targeted to be completed by early 2009.
A further announcement will be made to update shareholders when progress can be reported. In the meantime, shareholders requiring any additional information can contact the undersigned.
