28 November 2008 – Smartshares Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NZX, has announced its unaudited interim results for smartFONZ, covering the six-month period from 1 April 2008 to 30 September 2008.
Key points include:
- The net tangible asset value per unit as at 30 September 2008 was $1.3382, down $0.1733 from $1.5115 at 31 March 2008.
- Distributions payable to investors as at 30 September 2008 was $0.866 million.
- The total of net assets under management as at 30 September 2008 was $40.609 million.
- The performance of the fund for the period from 01 April to 30 September 2008 was -11.47% which was in line with the funds capital index which returned
-11.58% for the same period.
The net tangible asset value per unit has reduced from $1.3382 as at 30 September 2008 to $1.14504 as at 27 November 2008. This reduction in value is in line with the reduction in the fund’s index.
