Market Announcement
Further to the announcement yesterday that Simplot Mr Chips Limited has commenced compulsory acquisition of the ordinary shares of Mr Chips Holdings Limited ("Mr Chips") under the Takeovers Code, Mr Chips has applied to NZX:
- to cease to be listed with effect at the close of trading on 23 October 2008; and
- to cease quotation of Mr Chips ordinary shares at the close of trading on 9 October 2008.
As set out in the compulsory acquisition notice, outstanding Mr Chips shareholders have until 23 October 2008 to return an instrument of transfer for their Mr Chips shares or else such shares will be compulsorily acquired in accordance with the provisions of the Takeovers Code.
