People Telecom Signs Telstra Wholesale Mobile Agreement

Sydney - 8 September 2008 - People Telecom (ASX/NZX:PEO) has signed a new
agreement with Telstra Wholesale to supply Telstra GSM services throughout
Australia.
The multi-year agreement, signed in Sydney by People Telecom CEO, John
Stanton and Telstra Wholesale Group Managing Director, Kate McKenzie,
complements the $200 million agreement covering fixed wire, broadband and
data services, executed by People Telecom and Telstra in February this year.
Mr Stanton said the latest deal with Telstra Wholesale completes the supply
arrangements underpinning People Telecom's move to operate as a Multi-Network
Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) - able to offer services on all the
major mobile networks in Australia.
"The agreement with Telstra will significantly expand the scope and
flexibility of People Telecom's current mobile offerings, and give People
Telecom customers - both at the retail and wholesale level - the opportunity
to enjoy the unparalleled reach of the Telstra network, "Mr Stanton said.
He said the new People Telecom mobile plans, operating on the Telstra network
and being launched this week will offer highly competitive rates and plan
features for customers.
"Our new arrangements with Telstra Wholesale, combined with improved internal
efficiencies, are already underpinning improved operating margins for the
People Telecom business", Mr Stanton said.
Group Managing Director, Telstra Wholesale, Kate McKenzie, said she was

through the provision of Telstra GSM services.
