Xero connects to Westpac

Xero Limited ("XRO") today announced fully automated daily imports of bank
transactions for Xero customers who bank with Westpac.
Xero is the only accounting system in New Zealand available to small
businesses to offer this service.
Xero's online accounting solution is unique as bank transactions are
automatically imported daily allowing small businesses to have a real time
view of their cash flow.
"This is an exciting milestone for Xero as now virtually all New Zealand
small business can receive daily bank statements into their accounting
system," Xero Chief Executive Rod Drury said.
"Over the last year we have watched how this feature transforms the way small
businesses manage their finances," Mr Drury said.
Westpac's General Manager of Business Banking, Ian Blair says Westpac is
responding to demand from their small business customers. "They are asking
for more integrated, online services to streamline their business processes.
We've been impressed how the Xero product has gained acceptance in the market
over the last year."
Two thirds of Xero customers with daily imports available are using this
option.
