Xero Limited announced today that its 2000th paying customer had signed up to
its award-winning online accounting software.
Xero took 18 months from start-up to add its first 1000 customers, and four
and a half months to add its next
1000 customers.
CEO Rod Drury said he was delighted the Company had reached another major
milestone.
"Our customer growth has continued to be strong during the traditionally
quiet period for accounting systems changeover," Mr Drury said.
"While still early days, we are seeing the inevitable transition of small
businesses moving to online software, and the word-of-mouth effect beginning
to kick in," he said.
The Company is working hard to ensure that it is well positioned for the key
New Zealand accounting software changeover at the end of the financial year
in March 2009, as well as activities for Xero's international target markets.
