Share market posts modest gains
The New Zealand sharemarket rose early today, following a decline yesterday after nine consecutive days of gains.

World equities up 73 per cent
Equities have had a volatile 2010 so far, but globally they remain around 73 per cent higher than the low ebb of the financial crisis exactly 12 months ago.

Kiwi dollar regains lost ground
The New Zealand dollar regained lost ground against the greenback and strengthened against the euro, as the European currency declined on concerns peripheral euro zone economies could face debt problems similar to those of Greece.
