Internet-based connectivity options for accessing NZX systems.

For clients where dedicated circuits are not required, NZX offers internet-based connectivity options. These are suited for testing, conformance, disaster recovery, or use cases where low latency is not a primary requirement

IPSec Site-to-Site VPN

NZX provides the ability for clients to connect to NZX internet-facing firewalls with an IPSec Site-to-Site VPN termination.

  • IKEv2 protocol with certificate-based authentication
  • Two NZX endpoints for redundancy
  • Preferred and Acceptable connection profiles available depending on client equipment capabilities
  • Minimum of two client endpoints strongly recommended

Services available via VPN:

  • Market Depth Feed (MDF)
  • Trading (Production and Test/Conformance)
  • Clearing and Settlement (Production and Test/Conformance)

SSL over Internet

For a limited set of services and for connectivity with no latency or throughput requirements, data may be transmitted over the internet wrapped in TLS (Transport Layer Security). Contact NZX for details on which services are available via this method.
