Distribution Licence

Required for vendors and distributors who redistribute NZX market data to end users. Fees are based on data type (Equity Market, Indices, Announcements) and timeliness (real-time, delayed, or end-of-day).

Distribution licences are available for both equity and equity derivatives markets.

Note: All equity derivatives market data fees are currently 100% discounted until 1 May 2028.

Non-Display Application Licence

Required for any use of NZX real-time data in non-display applications, including, but not limited to, automated trading, portfolio valuation, risk management, and order routing. Fees are charged per unit of count and vary depending on whether the application is revenue-generating.

An enterprise-wide Community Licence is available as an alternative to per-unit pricing.

Non-display licences are available for both equity and equity derivatives markets.

Index & Financial Product Licence (IFPLA)

Required for any party using NZX market data or S&P/NZX index data in connection with the creation, calculation, or pricing of financial products or indices. This includes, but is not limited to, ETFs, funds, structured products, and custom indices.

Fees are determined based on the nature of the product and use case. Contact us to discuss your requirements.

If you use NZX market data to create new data products, a Derived Data Licence may be required.

Licence Agreements & Resources
