SeaDragon Announces Confirmed Order for refined Omega-3 Oil

SeaDragon Limited (NZX:SEA) is pleased to announce that an order for two full shipping container loads of refined Omega-3 fish oil (representing 32,000 kg) has just been confirmed. This is the first significant order of refined tuna oil Omega-3 product from our new refinery and represents the culmination of months of discussions and product testing by the customer. Discussions are ongoing regarding the opportunity for us to meet this customer's significant future demand. In securing this order, we identified some minor deficiencies and related process improvements that we can make to satisfy exacting regulatory and customer specifications. This will allow us to achieve higher margins on subsequent orders than achieved in the current sale. This involves minor capital expenditure, and will be completed within the next few weeks. We have several other potential Omega-3 customers currently working through their own assessment processes for both semi-refined and fully-refined tuna oil products from us. We anticipate receiving orders from these customers in the coming months, once their quality assessments and product testing has been successfully completed. We continue to work hard to ensure that our products meet changing regulatory requirements in overseas markets. For example, recent changes to EU quality standards may limit our ability to secure orders from some customers selling into the European market - but only in the short-term.
