Smartshares appoints Lindsay Wright as director

4 July 2018 Smartshares appoints Lindsay Wright as director Lindsay Wright has been appointed to the Smartshares Board of Directors, effective 26 June 2018. Lindsay is currently a director of NZX Limited, the owner of Smartshares, and was most recently Head of Distribution and Co-Head of APAC at BNY Mellon Investment Management, the global investment arm of BNY Mellon, one of the world's largest financial services companies, which manages more than US$1.9 trillion in over 100 markets, across 35 countries. The Smartshares board has determined Lindsay to be a non independent director for the purpose of the NZX Main Board Listing Rules, due to her role as a director of NZX Limited. About Lindsay Wright Lindsay was appointed as an NZX director in February 2018. She has more than 30 years' financial services and fund management experience locally and globally. Lindsay was most recently Head of Distribution and Co-Head of APAC at BNY Mellon Investment Management, one of the world's largest financial services companies, and prior to this, was Regional Head Institutional, Alternatives and Investment Solutions Business, Asia Pacific with Invesco Hong Kong Limited, CEO of Harvest Alternatives Investment Group, and Co-CEO of Harvest Capital Management Limited. Lindsay started her career with the Bankers Trust (now Deutsche New Zealand) where she became CFO/CIO before moving to Deutsche Asset Management. Lindsay is Deputy Chair of the board of the Guardians of the New Zealand Superannuation Fund.
