Chairman of Pacific Edge, Chris Gallaher, said "John brings extensive international experience with Macquarie Group and Hill Samuel at senior levels in investment banking, financial and capital markets advisory and mergers and acquisitions. In particular; John's experience in Asian markets, including Japan and Hong Kong is particularly relevant as Pacific Edge looks to extend its market reach into Asian markets. John had a 15 year career with Macquarie Group including three years as Head of Investment Banking for Macquarie in Japan. Since returning to New Zealand, John's roles include being appointed Managing Director of Pyne Gould Corporation and has since been involved in providing strategy and capital markets advice to a number of private companies as well as managing his own investment portfolio. John resides in Auckland.
