25 March 2020 Media release VITAL REMAINS FOCUSED ON DELIVERING CRITICAL SERVICES Vital confirms that it has successfully implemented its Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and that as a provider of essential services it remains fully operational. As a provider of critical nationwide communications our services are essential and are on the list of lifeline utilities. Many of our customers are also providers of essential services who will be reliant on us to assist them in dealing with the effects of Covid-19 including St John Ambulance, Fire & Emergency NZ, Utilities, Government departments, DHBs etc. "Our 24/7 network operations centre is now operating across multiple sites to ensure safe segregation for staff while providing resiliency should a location need to be closed for a deep clean. Priority will be given to repairs and maintenance of those networks and customers who are delivering essential services". "Our field teams including 3rd party suppliers remain operational across the country operating within guidelines that have been put in place to provide separation and protection for these teams as well as protection for the wider community where we need to operate". "The majority of our staff are now working from home in accordance with our BCP although key staff will continue to be on our different locations dependent upon essential work required to be undertaken". "We are working with customers to improve their BCP capabilities and are building out new circuits/connectivity in exceptionally quick times to ensure essential services can be delivered" "Please have confidence and be assured that we will do everything we can to support our customers through these uncertain times". Guidance Vital, following an immediate assessment of its business, confirms its EBITDA full year guidance for FY20 considering the impact of IFRS 16, remains in the range of $14.0 - $14.3m.
