Redemption Notice for Co-operative Bank Capital Notes

23 June 2021 NZX Announcement Redemption notice for Co-operative Bank capital notes The Co-operative Bank (Co-op) announces that it is giving notice to holders of its $15 million of capital notes with the NZDX ticker code COO010 (the Notes) that it will be exercising its option to redeem the Notes in full on 28 July 2021. Co-op issued the Notes in July 2016 under a Note Deed Poll, which provided that Co-op could redeem the Notes on the early repayment date of 28 July 2021 or any subsequent scheduled interest payment date. Under the terms of the Notes, early redemption is subject to pre-approval from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, which has been provided. Accordingly, Co-op will be redeeming the Notes in full on 28 July 2021. Holders of the Notes on the record date of 16 July 2021 will be entitled to receive the issue price of each Note (NZ$1.00) together with any accrued but unpaid interest up to 28 July 2021. A copy of the form of notice to be given to holders of the Notes in accordance with clause 4.2(a) of the Note Deed Poll is provided with this announcement, along with the NZX Listing Rule 3.14.1 notice.
