Christine Pears elected Non-Executive Director

At the Cannasouth Limited (NZX:CBD) Annual Shareholder Meeting (ASM) held yesterday, shareholders elected Ms Christine Pears as Non-executive Independent Director. Ms Pears was also appointed Chair of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee by the board. Ms Pears is currently a non-executive Director of NZX listed Marlborough Wine Estates Group Limited and YMCA North. Prior to that she held CEO roles within the horticulture, laboratory services and wine sectors, the latter including viticulture, wine making and marketing. She has also held Chief Financial Officer roles within a successful property group, an NZX listed wine company and several major IT data services companies. Ms Pears has travelled overseas widely and understands international markets. She is a Chartered Accountant, holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland and is a member of the Institute of Directors.
