Trustpower announces new generation business name

Trustpower confirms today that upon the successful completion of the conditional sale of its retail business, the new generation business will be called Manawa Energy Limited. The name was selected following an extensive process of engaging with stakeholders, inside and outside the company. We are honoured that 'Manawa' was gifted to the business by the Ngati Hangarau hapu, who hold mana whenua of the area where the company's Kaimai hydro-electric power scheme is located.
