BNZ announces leadership change

Exchange announcement 25 August 2021 BNZ announces leadership change Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) Chairman, Doug McKay, ONZM, today announced the appointment of Dan Huggins as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BNZ, succeeding Angela Mentis who has been appointed to the new role of Chief Digital, Data & Analytics Officer at National Australia Bank Limited (NAB). Mr Huggins was previously Executive - Customer, Products & Services at BNZ. The appointments of Mr Huggins and Ms Mentis are both effective on 1 October 2021. Ms Mentis will resign from the BNZ Board following her new appointment at NAB. Mr McKay, on behalf of the BNZ Board, said he was delighted to welcome Mr Huggins to his new role and thanked Ms Mentis for the outstanding results she had achieved during her time at BNZ. Mr McKay said Ms Mentis had been a tremendous leader for BNZ over her nearly 4-year tenure. She had brought a real focus on delivering for customers and helped spearhead BNZ's investment in digital services and tools. Ms Mentis had led BNZ during a time of significant change and left a lasting legacy of high performance and customer focus for which she could be incredibly proud.
