ANZ NZ acknowledges legal proceedings

ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited (ANZ NZ) acknowledges that proceedings have been filed against ANZ NZ by representative plaintiffs in the High Court of New Zealand. The proceeding is joint funded by LPF Group Ltd and CASL Governance Ltd. The proceedings relate to disclosure requirements prescribed by the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act. The proceedings arise from an issue self-reported (in 2017), and settled (in 2020) with the Commerce Commission. The issue has been remediated in accordance with that settlement.
