NZX Release 23 June 2022 SBS announce appointment of new Director SBS announce that Phil Ellison will be joining the SBS Bank Board effective 1st of July 2022. As the CEO of SBS subsidiary Finance Now for the past 22 years, Phil has been an active member of the Finance Now Board and the SBS Group Executive team. Throughout Phil's tenure, Finance Now has seen significant growth from a small start-up to one of the most prominent and respected finance companies in New Zealand providing one of the most diverse product sets in the industry with its lines of business in retail, personal loans, motor vehicle loans, small business, and Credit Cards. Phil is a well-respected Executive within the SBS Group, and we are pleased we can retain his knowledge and experience in a governance role. Phil has an extensive financial services background, particularly in IT and digital technology. He has a strong commitment to mutuality and the benefits it can provide to our Members and the communities in which we live. Phil will step down from the Finance Now Board as of the 30th of June when he also finishes as CEO of Finance Now before commencing his new role on the SBS Board.
