BIF – Acquires shares in Liquium

Booster is pleased to announce the addition of Liquium to the Booster Innovation Fund (BIF) portfolio, which is held through NZ Innovation Booster LP - an underlying fund that was established as a joint venture between the Booster group, Wellington UniVentures and Otago Innovation Limited. Liquium (formed in 2022) operates in the energy and clean technologies sector. Liquium is developing a cost-effective technology to manufacture ammonia at low temperatures and pressures, that could significantly reduce carbon emissions and pave the way for localised, small-scale green ammonia production. The company is classified as seed stage. BIF will make a cash investment of $500,000. Following this transaction (and issue of additional units to fund the purchase), Liquium will represent 4.9% of BIF's investment portfolio of 25 companies, and with a net asset value of $10.2m.
