20/07/2022, 13:21 NZST, ADMIN

Manawa Energy is pleased to announce that Deion Campbell is joining its Board. Mr Campbell will join effective 20 July 2022, contemporaneous with Peter Coman retiring from the Board to focus on his other Morrison & Co roles. Mr Campbell lives in Tauranga and is an operating partner with HRL Morrison and Co (MCo). Prior to this, Mr Campbell spent 15 years in the generation division of Manawa Energy Limited (then Trustpower Limited), including several years as the General Manager - Generation. Mr Campbell sits on the board of Transgrid, the transmission network operator for New South Wales, is a Fellow of Engineering NZ and is a Chartered Company Director. Manawa's chair Paul Ridley-Smith said, "We are delighted to welcome Deion Campbell to the Board and look forward to his insights and contribution. I want to thank Peter Coman for his valued contribution, especially in helping guide Manawa Energy through the sale of its retail business and confirming it's look forward strategies." The Board has determined that because of his association with Infratil Limited, Mr Campbell will be a non-independent director. In accordance with the company's constitution, Mr Campbell will retire, but stand for re-election at the Annual Shareholder Meeting on 12 August.
