Fletcher Building today announced the appointment of James Miller to the newly-created role of Deputy Chair, with effect from today. Mr Miller joined the Board on 1 June 2025 and was formally elected at the Company’s Annual Shareholders’ Meeting on 22 October 2025. He will also join the People and Remuneration Committee from today’s date, alongside Jacqui Coombes (Chair) and Tony Dragicevich. Peter Crowley, Chair of Fletcher Building said the appointment reflected the Board’s view that it was important to have a New Zealand-based Deputy Chair to support the Chair role: “Establishing a New Zealand-based Deputy Chair role is intended to further strengthen the Board’s connection to our New Zealand operations, and to provide additional on the ground engagement, including with local stakeholders. “James has made a strong contribution since joining the Board and we are pleased to appoint him as Deputy Chair and to welcome his additional contribution through the People and Remuneration Committee.” Background on James Miller Mr Miller is an experienced company director with extensive governance, financial markets and investment experience in New Zealand and internationally. He is currently Chair of Channel Infrastructure NZ and a director of Ryman Healthcare and Vista Group. His previous governance roles include serving on the boards of Auckland International Airport, ACC, Mercury, NZX and Vector, and he has held senior executive roles at Craigs Investment Partners and ABN AMRO.
