MARKET ANNOUNCEMENT 4 December 2017 Chairman to retire AUCKLAND, 4 December 2017: NZME Limited (NZX: NZM, ASX: NZM) ("NZME") advises that it has today received notice that Sir John Anderson will retire from the Board of NZME with effect 8 December 2017. Independent Director Peter Cullinane, on behalf of the Board, thanked Sir John Anderson for his invaluable contribution to NZME, including leading the Board through the demerger of NZME from HT&E Limited (previous APN News & Media) and listing on the NZX. "Sir John has made a significant contribution over a long period to the growth of businesses in New Zealand. The Chairman's extensive business and governance experience has been an asset to the Company during NZME's first year as a listed company and all of us at NZME wish Sir John the very best for his retirement," said Mr Cullinane. CEO Michael Boggs said, "The NZME management team and I have benefitted enormously from Sir John's wise counsel and steady hand during a period of substantial change in our first year as a listed company." As previously advised, NZME has a Board renewal process underway, with the appointment of an additional independent director to be confirmed by the Board prior to the effective date of Sir John's retirement. The Board is expected to appoint a Chair in the coming days and the market will be advised at the time.
