AIA – NQA Sale Update

Market Release | 3 January 2018 NQA Sale Update In August 2017, Auckland Airport announced completion of a strategic review of our 24.55% stake in North Queensland Airport, confirming it remains a highly attractive asset but not integral to our current business strategy. We identified three potential outcomes at the start of the NQA process: 1. Continue to hold; 2. Sell to one or more of the existing NQA shareholders in accordance with the security holders agreement; or 3. Sell to third party in accordance with the security holders agreement. All three options remain on the table and we remain comfortable with each outcome, albeit our preference remains to sell this non-strategic asset. We have encountered strong buyer interest and expect to provide a more detailed market update on or before our FY18 Interim Results announcement in February 2018.
