Memorandum To: Market Participants From: NZX Product Operations Date: Tuesday, 20 February 2018 Subject: Kathmandu Holdings Limited ("KMD") - Trading Halt of Securities Message: NZX Regulation ("NZXR") advises that, at the request of the company, it has placed a trading halt on Kathmandu Holdings Limited ("KMD") Ordinary Shares at 9.51am today. The trading halt has been put in place as KMD is proposing to undertake an equity placement, and has engaged Goldman Sachs New Zealand Limited to assist it with the placement book build. The equity placement will involve a placement of shares to institutional investors and is intended to be followed by a share purchase plan to eligible shareholders. KMD has requested the trading halt to ensure an orderly market during the book build. The halt will remain until the earlier of an announcement by KMD in relation to the outcome of the bookbuild, or market open Thursday, 22 March 2018.
