Vista Group signs Japan’s largest cinema chain, Aeon Entert

11 May 2018, Vista Group International Limited, Auckland, New Zealand Vista Group signs Japan's largest cinema chain, Aeon Entertainment Vista Group International (NZX & ASX: VGL), has signed an agreement with Aeon Entertainment Co Ltd, ('Aeon') the largest cinema exhibitor in the Japanese market by number of cinema sites. Japan is in the top 5, by Box Office revenue, of the world's film exhibition markets. Aeon will utilise the cinema management and data analytics software solutions of Vista Group companies Vista Entertainment Solutions Ltd ('Vista Cinema') and Movio. The company operates more than 90 cinema sites throughout Japan comprising over 770 screens. The agreement follows more than two years of negotiations conducted with the support of Vista's in-market Business Partner VINX Corporation ('VINX'). The roll-out of the Vista Cinema and Movio solutions for Aeon is scheduled to be completed by February 2020. Vista Group CEO Kimbal Riley describes the signing of Aeon as a fantastic win for Vista.
