AIA – Monthly Traffic Update – September 2018

September 2018 Monthly traffic update 6.0% Auckland Airport experienced total passenger growth of 6.0% in September 2018. International passengers (excl. Transits) were up 6.4%, while domestic passengers grew by 7.3% compared to September 2017. International passenger growth (excl. Transit) was predominantly driven by additional capacity on the Asia (+55,000 seats), North America (+17,000 seats) and Pacific Island routes (+7,000 seats). Key Points: o Continued growth in Auckland Airport's origin traffic base with New Zealander arrivals (+10.0%) and departures (+8.0%) up on September 2017, predominantly driven by the additional capacity on Asian and Pacific Island routes. o United States visitor arrivals up 14.9% on September 2017, primarily driven by additional capacity on the Auckland to Honolulu route (+13,000 seats).
