Meridian announces departure of Australia CEO

Meridian Energy Limited announced today that Ed McManus, the CEO of Meridian Energy and Powershop Australia, has resigned. Neal Barclay, Meridian's Chief Executive, said that Mr McManus has decided to leave Meridian for another role at an Australian business. "Ed has been instrumental in leading the team at Meridian Energy Australia to galvanise its place as a challenger in a market dominated by larger companies," says Mr Barclay. "Ed joined us in 2014. Under his watch Meridian has been able to grow its Australian customer base and generation footprint across the market. We're deeply grateful for Ed's contribution."
