Joan Withers appointed to Sky Board

Highly-respected New Zealand businesswoman and professional director Joan Withers has been appointed to the board of Sky. Joan has spent over 25 years working in the media industry, holding CEO positions at both Fairfax NZ and The Radio Network, and has corporate governance experience spanning 20 years. Her current governance roles include Chair of The Warehouse Group, Chair of Mercury NZ (stepping down 27 September 2019), and as a director of ANZ NZ. She has previously held Chair positions at Auckland International Airport and TVNZ. Joan has been appointed by the Sky board to fill a casual vacancy, effective immediately. She will seek election from Sky shareholders at the AGM on 17 October.
