August 2019 Monthly traffic update -0.1% Auckland Airport total passenger volumes decreased by -0.1% in August 2019 versus last year. International passengers (excl. Transits) were in line with the prior corresponding period, while transit passengers were up 11.8% and domestic passengers were down by 1.4%. Key Points: o Jetstar has announced termination of its New Zealand domestic regional turboprop routes from 1 December 2019. o Taiwanese visitor arrivals continued strong growth up 98.8% in August 2019 compared to August 2018, primarily driven by new capacity on the Auckland to Taipei route from Air New Zealand.
