Metroglass announces Director changes

NZX.MPG, ASX.MPP 22 November 2019 Metro Performance Glass announces director changes The Metroglass board regularly reviews its performance, capability and director succession plans to ensure it has the skills and experience required to lead the company into the future. The board will periodically bring new talent onto the board through director rotation, and today we announce the following three changes. Metroglass is pleased to announce the appointment of Graham Stuart as a director Graham Stuart will join as a non executive director of the company with effect from 1 December 2019. Graham has over 30 years experience in senior executive and governance roles in New Zealand and internationally. He was previously the CEO of Sealord Group from 2007 to 2014 and prior to that was CFO and Director of Strategy with the Fonterra Co-operative Group from 2001 to 2007. Chair Peter Griffiths said: "We are delighted to welcome Graham to the Metroglass board. He is a director with demonstrated strategic capability and extensive governance experience that will complement our current board composition." Graham is the chair of EROAD Limited, an independent director and chair of the audit committee of Tower Limited, independent director and chair of the audit and risk committee of NorthWest Healthcare Property Management Limited. Graham is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, and a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors. Graham has a Master of Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago. The board has deemed Graham to be an independent director for the purposes of the NZX Listing Rules. Gordon Buswell and Bill Roest to retire from the board Gordon Buswell will retire from the board with effect from 31 December 2019. Chair Peter Griffiths said: "Gordon has made a significant contribution to the Metroglass board over the past four years. His deep understanding of the New Zealand building sector and his strong customer focus have been very valuable." Bill Roest will retire prior to the company's 2020 shareholders meeting. It is expected that an announcement regarding a further director appointment will be made early next year.
