Resignation of Group Chief Financial Officer

Media release 21 January 2020 Resignation of Group Chief Financial Officer Matthew Walker has today announced his resignation as Group Chief Financial Officer of Auckland Council. Mr. Walker will remain with Council until Easter 2020. Mr. Walker has accepted a role as General Manager Corporate Support at NZTA in Wellington. Mr. Walker will report to the Chief Executive of NZTA and will take up his role after Easter 2020. Auckland Council Chief Executive, Stephen Town, will undertake a process to appoint an interim Group Chief Financial Officer beginning next week.
