December 2019 Monthly traffic update -1.3% Auckland Airport total passenger volumes decreased by 1.3% in December 2019 versus last year. International passengers (excl. Transits) were up 1.5%, transit passengers were down 12.8% and domestic passengers were down by 3.6%. Key Points: o Growth in international passengers (excl. transits) for December 2019, primary driven by additional capacity from Air New Zealand to Korea and Taiwan, and the commencement of the new Air Canada service to Vancouver. o Decline in domestic passengers for December 2019 mainly driven by Jetstar's withdrawal from regional services on 1 December 2019.
