Employment solutions provider PaySauce (NZX: PYS) announces an anticipated delay on their international expansion as a result of the emerging global health crisis. In response to the rapidly changing situation, including travel restrictions, PaySauce expects to delay its plans to enter the Irish market. The remainder of the company's established strategy remains unchanged and on track. PaySauce also recently took the opportunity to test its Business Continuity Plan, and this has now been fully implemented, with all staff working from home unless there is a compelling reason to visit the workplace. PaySauce CEO Asantha Wijeyeratne says this was a straightforward decision to protect the well-being of the PaySauce team, their families and communities. "Our people are always our first concern, and as a cloud-based business, we're able to prioritise the safety of our staff without creating any disruptions for our customers." COO Mathew Stokes expressed confidence that PaySauce will continue to run smoothly as a remote workplace. "This is a challenging time for small business employers, and now more than ever, we're committed to providing them with the highest standard of support. We're aware that many other Kiwi businesses will be seeking to adapt urgently as the situation escalates, and we're prepared to help them implement a cloud-based payroll solution to keep this essential business function running." PaySauce has also taken decisive steps to ensure the company adheres to New Zealand's international travel ban, as well as cancelling all non-essential domestic travel. Management are leveraging cloud-based communication tools to keep the team connected and informed, including sharing resources from essential sources such as the Ministry of Health.
