MARKET RELEASE 23 March 2020 Closure of SkyCity's New Zealand Properties SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited (SKC.NZX/SKC.AX) ("SkyCity") advises that it is closing, effective immediately, its New Zealand casino and entertainment facilities in Auckland, Hamilton and Queenstown. This follows the announcement by the New Zealand Government earlier today that the COVID-19 Alert Level has now increased to Level 3 and its intention to move to Level 4 within the next 48 hours - mandating the immediate closure of all non-essential services. SkyCity's Auckland hotels will remain open temporarily to accommodate guests currently staying in-house, pending further advice from the New Zealand Government. SkyCity CEO Graeme Stephens said "SkyCity is fully complying with the Government's instruction to shut down all non-essential services. The nationwide closure is an unprecedented change for everyone and we are very focused on the implications for our 4,000 employees in New Zealand." "We are continuing to assess the financial implications of the closures in New Zealand and Adelaide and will update the market as new material information becomes available," said Mr Stephens.
