Ryman Healthcare COVID-19 Profit Guidance Update - March 24, 2020 Ryman Healthcare advises that, due to the Government's announcement yesterday afternoon that New Zealand will be moving to Level 4 on the COVID-19 alert system on March 25, Ryman is withdrawing previously communicated profit and build rate guidance. Ryman villages and aged care centres will continue to operate as an essential service for older people and our teams are committed to providing our residents with the best of care possible during this emergency. We anticipate ceasing construction in New Zealand within the next 36 hours while restrictions on people's movements are in place. We are monitoring the situation in Victoria. Our sales of occupation rights will be significantly restricted in the coming weeks as a result of emergency announcements. We are conscious that older people will require our services and care during this difficult time, and we will do our very best to meet their needs. Accordingly, we will continue to admit new residents to our care centres and retirement villages during this period so older people who need or wish to access our services can. We will admit new residents in accordance with Public Health guidelines and they will be isolated as required. We have extensive infection control and pandemic plans in place, and we have been planning and preparing to cope with the threat of COVID-19 since January. Ryman will provide further updates as the situation unfolds. About Ryman Healthcare: Ryman was founded in 1984 and has become one of New Zealand's largest listed companies. The company owns and operates 36 villages which are home to more than 11,600 residents in New Zealand and Australia, and Ryman employs 5,700 staff.
