Start date for Refining NZ Chief Executive Officer

Refining NZ, the owner and operator of the Marsden Point refinery and the Refinery-to-Auckland pipeline, has confirmed that recently appointed Chief Executive Officer, Naomi James will commence her role on Monday 6 April, 2020. Ms James will take over from Managing Director, Mr Paul Zealand who has been managing the CEO transition process for the Company since 1 February 2020. At a time determined by the Board, Mr Zealand will return to his role as a non-executive Director on the Refining NZ Board, a role he has held since August 2016. The Board will also make an assessment of Mr Zealand's independence at that time. The Board wishes to acknowledge Mr Zealand's professionalism and contribution to a seamless CEO transition while managing the Company's response to a volatile business environment impacted by COVID 19.
