25 March 2020 Contact confirmed as essential business Contact Energy Limited ("CEN") is committed to supporting the actions of the NZ Government in restricting the spread of Covid-19, and fulfil its obligations as an essential business and lifeline utility for New Zealand. CEO Mike Fuge said Contact Energy was classed as an essential business under the new Covid-19 rules announced by the Government this week. "At Alert Level 4, we will continue to deliver services, and do so in a way that limits or eliminates the risk of spreading Covid-19."
