UPDATE ON COVID-19 IMPACTS AND MOVE TO ALERT LEVEL 1 IN NZ

MARKET RELEASE SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited (SKC.NZX/SKC.AX) 8 June 2020 Update on COVID-19 Impacts and Move to Alert Level 1 in New Zealand The New Zealand Government announced earlier today that New Zealand will move to Alert Level 1 at 11.59pm on 8 June 2020. At Alert Level 1, there are no restrictions on mass gatherings and physical distancing requirements for businesses, including SkyCity's New Zealand properties. Accordingly, from 9 June 2020: o events and promotions will recommence; o electronic gaming machines and gaming tables will operate as usual without physical distancing requirements - in particular, the gaming "zones" implemented at Alert Level 2 will be removed; and o members of the public will be able to return to the SkyCity casinos (previously restricted to SkyCity Premier Rewards members only at Alert Level 2). SkyCity will continue to adhere to the Ministry of Health's guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in addition to SkyCity's own existing health, safety and hygiene standards to protect employees and customers. Although the international travel borders are expected to remain closed at Alert Level 1, the re-opening of the Trans-Tasman border between New Zealand and Australia appears increasingly likely over the next few months, which would be positive for SkyCity and its tourism-related businesses. Based on the South Australian Government's current three-stage approach to easing the COVID-19 restrictions, SkyCity continues to expect to be able to re-open Adelaide Casino in late June or early July 2020.
