Electricity Authority Transmission Pricing Guideline

The Electricity Authority (the Authority) today published its final decision in relation to the setting of transmission pricing guidelines (Guidelines). The Authority began the process to review the Guidelines soon after it was established in 2010. The Authority has now directed Transpower to prepare a new transmission pricing methodology and submit it to the Authority for approval. At this stage of the process the impact on Trustpower is unknown until Transpower completes its process to propose a new methodology to the Authority. The final decision is very detailed and runs to 150 pages plus detailed supplementary papers. Trustpower will now assess the decision and remain fully engaged in the process.
