Comvita announces Chief Financial Officer appointment

Comvita Limited (NZX:CVT) is delighted to confirm the appointment of Nigel Greenwood to the position of Chief Financial Officer, effective 15 September 2020. Nigel will relocate to the Bay of Plenty to take up this position. Nigel is a highly experienced CFO. The foundations of his career were built in audit at Deloitte, and he went on to gain extensive finance and commercial experience through executive appointments with Lyttelton Port Company Ltd, Gough Group Ltd and Crane Distribution NZ Ltd. Nigel then spent more than a decade with Synlait Milk Ltd as CFO, where he played an instrumental role in growing revenue from $100m to $1bn. At Synlait, Nigel was responsible for core finance, financial accounting, treasury, capital structure and long-range financial planning. Nigel helped lead the organisation through significant change and transformation, including a number of mergers and acquisitions and two capital raises. He successfully completed Synlait's NZ IPO in 2013 (with subsequent entrance to the NZX top 50), and later led the dual listing process on to the ASX in 2016. Nigel is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Directors. He has a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in accounting) and has completed the General Manager Programme at the University of Michigan. He was also a finalist in the Deloitte CFO of the year in 2018.
