Statement on Government MIQ media release

Millennium Hotels & Resorts New Zealand refers to the media release issued by the New Zealand Government concerning the actions of an individual who made an unscheduled and unauthorised departure from the managed isolation facility at Grand Millennium Auckland. The matter is under investigation by the authorities. CCTV footage of the individual has been provided to the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment and the Police by the Hotel. Security arrangements are being reviewed with the New Zealand Defence Force and their contractors.
