Media release - March 22, 2021 Greg Campbell joins Ryman Healthcare's board Greg Campbell has been appointed to the board of Ryman Healthcare. Mr Campbell is an experienced chief executive and board director, with more than 25 years' experience leading large organisations. He is currently CEO at fertiliser cooperative Ravensdown in Christchurch but has signalled his intention to stand down in May to take up a fulltime career in governance. Mr Campbell's association with Ryman began more than a decade ago when he was CEO of Ngai Tahu Holdings, one of Ryman's earliest investors. "I first came across the team at Ryman as a shareholder. Since then I've regarded it as a special company with a special purpose - to help people. "Ryman is fulfilling a need that's growing in the community and pioneering new ways to help the next generation of Kiwis. "People are living longer and in better health, and they're going to want new ways to live in retirement, and it is a need that is set to grow and grow. "Ryman is also a very positive commercial entity. I am unashamedly supportive of the idea that companies need to be successful in order to reward their shareholders for taking a risk, to reward their employees fairly and to be able to achieve a balanced and sustainable outcome for everyone." Ryman Healthcare Chairman Dr David Kerr said Mr Campbell was a welcome addition to the board. "Greg's a very experienced leader who has achieved great things in large organisations. He knows what it takes to run large companies successfully, and he has a special interest in sustainability and climate change which are important challenges for us.
