Mainfreight – Senior Executive Resignation

MAINFREIGHT LIMITED 18 October 2021 Senior Executive Resignation Craig Evans, who leads Mainfreight's New Zealand operations, has announced his intention to resign by the end of January 2022. His successor will be appointed from within the business and will be announced in due course. Craig's tenure with Mainfreight spans more than three decades; starting with us in 1987 managing a fledgling branch in the Hawkes' Bay as we began to develop our network around New Zealand. Over this time, Craig has managed branches and divisions across New Zealand, in every case creating a bigger and better business. For the last six years, he has overseen our full New Zealand business, encompassing the three divisions of Transport, Air & Ocean, and Warehousing. During that time, we have seen revenues increase 56% and profit before tax improve 71% (as at 31 March 2021). Craig has been instrumental in coordinating our response to a number of natural disasters, including the earthquakes in Christchurch and Kaikoura and significant weather events, and most recently Covid 19, to ensure that we have been able to continue to provide freight services to our customers. Our branch network has intensified significantly during this time, particularly into regional New Zealand, building to one of the largest in the country. Thanks to Craig's efforts, alongside the New Zealand team, we are well-positioned to further develop our business in our home base. We are extremely grateful and proud to have had Craig with us during our journey, and we acknowledge his contribution over this time. He leaves with a huge vote of thanks for all he has accomplished for us.
