Defence Estate Maintenance and Operation Services extension

DEFENCE ESTATE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION SERVICES CONTRACT EXTENSION Downer EDI Limited (Downer) today announced it had received an extension on its Estate Maintenance and Operation Services (EMOS) contract with the Australian Department of Defence. The 12-month extension will commence in August 2024 and run through to 31 July 2025, generating revenue to Downer of approximately $400 million. Under the contract extension, Downer will continue to provide base and estate management and support, estate upkeep, transport services, and land management services for Defence bases and training facilities across the Queensland, ACT and Southern New South Wales Defence regions. "Downer is proud of the role we have played as the custodian of Defence estates under the EMOS contract over the past 10 years," the Chief Executive Officer of Downer Group, Peter Tompkins, said.
