Scheme of Arrangement Update – Initial Orders

Manawa Energy Limited (NZX: MNW) advises that it has been granted initial orders from the High Court in respect of the scheme of arrangement proposed by Contact Energy Limited. A copy of the sealed initial orders is attached. Manawa does not expect to release the scheme booklet (incorporating a notice of meeting and independent adviser’s report) and confirm details of the shareholder meeting at which shareholders will vote on the scheme until after Contact has received New Zealand Commerce Commission clearance.
